Bimini sunset...the sun sets over the sea with Miami just 50 miles away

Each bedroom has a twin and a double and its own private bath.
The cottage is centrally air conditioned.

Bimini is two islands. North Bimini is the main area and the cottages are located on
the western shore along the beautiful beach where X "marks the spot".

Bimini is only 50 miles away from the USA. Bimini, part of The Bahamas,
is a foreign country...but its also so very familiar. Here the Royal Bahamas Police are seen resplendent in their British colonial dress uniforms. Of course our language is English and we do drive on the left.
You can find school kids playing cricket but American football and basketball are embraced
 with a intense passion.

Bimini's harbour



Ernest Hemingway came here for three summers in bthe mid 1930s.
The fishing grounds here teem with fish, conch and lobster.



Michael and Helen Lerner, big game fiishing enthusiasts in the 1930s thorugh 1970s.
Their home is now a restaurant only a short walk from the cottages. The American ladies' chain store, the "Lerner Shop" was begun by this couple.



Wild dolphin excursions are available. You can see them and even swim with them.
Also, the SCUBA diving and snorkellnig is great in Bimini.
